  • Question about bonus weeks

Do you get them too when you talk to someone on the phone instead of depositing the week online yourself? I talked to a person the other day and deposited one of our two weeks on Maui for 2012 but didn't receive the bonus week while it was advertised online for both our weeks and still is for the second week, I notice now. It had to be done before June 19 and the week has to fall between a certain time period which it did too.

Do I have to call them back and ask for the bonus week or is it located somewhere else and I don't know where to look for it? We hardly exchange so seldom go online to check it out. I am too scared that I may accidentally deposit a week that we had in mind to use ourselves so I have no idea what exchanges are out there but now I need to find one within two years, I believe.

My second week is already spoken for so I cannot make a mistake. Is it easy to make a mistake or are there many steps you go through so a mistake is very unlikely?

Also, is it true that you do not get a bonus week if you don't deposit online or was this a mistake?

You should see the "bonus week" listed in your account after 3-4 days, especially as it is over the weekend.
Does your deposit show as "pending" or is it confirmed as deposited?

If the bonus week is not in your account in 4-5 days, call back and ask where it is.

I have had it with II

I called today to find out about the bonus week. The guy told me that I didn't qualify. I had a mailer in the mail with the offer plus it was posted on "my units" page too. This is why I decided to deposit a week and I had the screen in front of me when I talked to him. I told him to give me my week back but he wouldn't do that.

I asked for the Supervisor and she said that I didn't qualify for the bonus week so I asked her why they would send me a mailer and it was posted black and white on my screen too and the date hadn't expired yet.

She wouldn't give me that bonus week so I asked for my week back which she did. We went back and forward why they send all these mailers out and put false advertising on the screen too.

While I was talking to her Peter opened the mail and we got three more mailers from II! What a complete waste of money. They are bombarding us with requests to deposit our weeks and they still offer bonus weeks in these mailers.

I tried again to get that bonus week but she said no so I told her to cancel the account immediately as I am through with II. I don't need them.

I am back in my account again and guess what? The offer is back for my week that I had deposited.

The front doesn't know what the back is doing. What a stupid company they are but they have lost a customer. I will send a complaint about this Supervisor to the head office as I can prove it black and white that we qualified for this bonus week.

PS. I have made screen shots of everything in my account so I have proof for later plus I found another error on my account and mentioned it to her. She said that she will report it to IT. They are either so dumb in that department or they do fraudulent advertising. Unbelievable.

PPS. Isn't that a bonus week that they promise at the bottom and isn't that the same as an AC or am I confused?

I have never had a problem getting my bonus weeks (yes, they are restricted accomidation certificates) when I either have the mailing or see the offer in my II account.

Could it be that you didn't give them the unit size they were looking for? I almost messed up once with that.

The bonus weeks (ACs) are restricted. But, we head off to Orlando a couple time a year and always use our there. I am also succesful using them during flextime.

With II....I find that it certainly can be the luck of the draw as to which customer service rep you get when you call. I would have assumed that the supervisor should have at least been able to tell you WHY.

Sadly rather than give the bonus week they lost a customer and who knows how many more from this bad publicity...customer service and happiness always comes first for a good business.

We only have a 1 BR unit there and that was the AC for.

She never gave me a reason but kept saying that it didn't qualify but the mailer and screen said otherwise and now again.

I know that the AC is useless most of the time but the week I had my eye on is one that mostly seems to show up off season when we don't mind going but the resort offers a week too very inexpensively so we don't need II and it is a matter of principal

Unbelievable that they can refuse to give it to you when you have it in black and white! I would call back and speak with someone else. And a supervisor. And another. Whatever it takes.

If they made a mistake, they should honor it regardless. They have very few Maui weeks. Certainly it qualifies for a bonus week. What a bunch of morons.

You are right that the AC's lately have been pitiful, hardly worth all the fuss. II certainly doesn't deserve your business.

I agree II does not deserve your business and I am also big on principals. So I understand you!
