So, I was browsing II today and noticed this Daily Deal thing, which said "Purchase any Getaway today and get a Bonus Resort Accommodations Certificate." I was going to get a Getaway anyway, so I pulled the trigger on it. I'm not too sure what the 'Bonus Resort Accommodations Certificate is, though. Yea, I'm kinda new to the game. Can anyone tell me what it means?

A bonus resort AC is most likely a "regular" AC with some restrictions. An AC can be used to book a week from the exchange inventory but instead of using a deposited week you use the AC which has a fee generally based on unit size. Studio-one bedroom-two bedroom for $199-249-299. Or it could be a different fee structure and it has restrictions such as only bookable in certain areas 60 days before check-in.

You should get an email stating what the restrictions are...maybe you would share it here once u get it.
It can be a great way to getva second weeks vacation especially if u have travel flexibility.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm as flexible as anyone with two elementary school aged kids can be. Sounds like fun though, we have a couple of weeks this summer that are unplanned, I might give this a try for one of them when I get the info from II how to use it.

Good luck getting a summer week, but there us a place in central Maine(Island FAlls) that may show up. You never know tho- sometimes a gem shows up with very little lead time.

So I ended up buying the 'Getaway', a week at The Colonies at Williamsburg, which wasn't a bad deal by itself for a four bedroom during school vacation week next spring. Now I'm trying to use that Accommodations Certificate that came with it. Or, trying to figure out how to use it.

If you were able to grab a 4 bedroom in a place you want for spring break, count yourself very lucky! The A/Cs that II has been giving away are, for the most part, worth what you pay for them imo - think OFF season in places gutted with inventory, and only within 60 days even for those. So enjoy your primary trip and don't count on the A/C - if you can use it, great, but I've got one that will go unused for 2011 despite diligent efforts.

You should have a 'grid' that tells you when/where you can use it.

Spring break any where is a good feal and a four bedroom unit. That is a steal.

Yep, I'm happy enough with the four bedroom for spring vacation. I've been looking at what they've got available for the Accommodations Certificate. There are some interesting things in there, Sao Paulo and Egypt, for example, but not really practical for me....
