I haven't traded a lot through Interval, but have learned a lot about the exchange process and made several good trades.

What I have been wondering is whether Interval releases new inventory daily, and whether there is a certain time of the day that new inventory goes online. In other words, does new inventory get posted daily at 9 AM, or at 12 AM, or periodically throughout the day?

I have made it a habit when I am looking for a certain resort or date to go on first thing in the AM to check for availability. It seems as though some of the difficult to get inventory is gone by the end of the day. That is why I was guessing it might be updated at a certain time in the AM?

Early morning

I've only got a 1 year history with II so take this is one person's observations and not expert opinion

I notice that the Sightings on TUG and the ExOps on this board are generally posted in the early hours of the morning (5-7am). Occasionally you'll see a late in the day one pop up. From this I have always assumed that new inventory generally gets batch loaded sometime overnight. Also, both of my II exchanges came overnight (one at 4am, the other I don't recall).

This conforms to my experience searching. I generally see a good deal of availability in the early hours and less as the day goes on, with an exception popping up later in the day now and again.

It depends. Marriotts seem to load a little before or after 7 am eastern. Other stuff is there at 5 am.
Remember that "stuff" can appear at any time probably due to cancelations.
Also, because II has an 18 minute hold period, things can appear to be new deposits but they were actually there earlier in the day......

One time a friend saw something I wanted. She put it in the 18 minute hold and called me right away. Once I was on the phone, she released it but it took 30 minutes of me refreshing the screen every minute or so for it to reappear allowing me to confirm it.

I hope I did not confuse you further!

Today, it was raining so I just sat around and searched using a standard 2br and a gold 1 BR. Interesting to see the difference in the deposits.
Then it got nice and I went out

No real rhyme or reason for me.

Thanks for the good information. It will give me incentive to get going earlier in the AM so I can get in the routine of checking for properties I am interested in. Have you noticed whether any particular days are bigger days for new inventory - like Mondays, right after the weekend?

Yesterday was rainy here too - so I played around with Interval for awhile as well - still a lot to learn. Boy, I can see how this can get addicting. Do they have a Timeshare Annonymous group for timeshare addicts who can't stop looking for the best trades?!?
