II and obligations for exchange

We had exchanged into Marlin Quay via II for the second week in July; however, I found out a week ago that that resort will be closed--only a security
guard on site--nobody else!

What are II's obligations to me? I ask because one rep. has been helpful, while another basically said sorry--tough luck.

I am currently out the air fare for my family and exchange fees.
Any ideas?

Does II know about the resort being closed. If not take out the insurance if you still have time. if they do they will keep your exchange fee and giive you back your week. They will try to get you into another resort.

Interval was very helpful

As it turns out, the Interval rep. worked very hard and managed to find us another option for the same week as Marlin Quay. No, we won't be on St. Lucia, but we will still get some Caribbean.
