I did get some Accomodation Certificate, but it appears mostly for off-season travel to various destinations.
That Accomodation Certificate should be your bonus week. What is the expiration date of it? If it is in one year....then that is it.

II has REALLY tightened what the ACs can be used for lately. A few years ago, they were as good as the original deposit. Now....they are restricted. We still manage to use ours for Orlando trips. But....I have noticed even in Orlando....they won't pull anything more than a studio at the Marriotts.

It expires in 2013. I guess I thought that was something else since I haven't deposited my week yet and that certificate came in anyway.
Basically it's an offer to buy a week at the following prices:
      Studio - US $229.00
      One-bedroom - US $279.00
      Two-bedroom - US $329.00
      Three-bedroom - US $379.00
      Four-bedroom - US $429.00

Searching with it, I see about the same as you mention. During the Summer months about the only place I can book is Orlando.

Hummm.....are you sure you didn't deposit the week yet? When you view "my units" do you see your week and does it have vacation request button next to it?

A bit strange II just gave you an AC for the heck of it. It is not unheard of - but typically they don't.

I have a worthless "heck of it" AC in my account from last year. At least I did until it expired unused. It wasn't associated with a deposit, more like II's take on RCI's "last calls." AKA "dump the lousy inventory"

I don't think it got deposited. I searched with it a few times, but never went further than that. There is still a "Deposit Unit" button and a "Place Request" link. (was going to post a screen capture of it, but it doesn't look like I can add attachments)

I guess I'm lucky then. Although I haven't found anything to use this AC on yet.

Very good. Consider the AC a freebie then! Never know, you may even catch a place close to home and have a weekend getaway with it!
