      Flexvilla with Lock-Off

I have a 'Flexvilla' with Lock-Off at the Royal Mayan in Cancun, where the one-bedroom by itself can be locked off. My question is can/should I split them out in the II exchange pool? Meaning put the hotel-room sized unit and one-bedroom condo with kitchen unit in the exchange pool as separate units instead of the two-bedroom condo with kitchen. The few times that I have exchanged, I have not gotten the same 5-star resorts in trade and this would give me an additional unit to bargain in trade.

I am not sure where our family wants to go yet, but we are looking at a lake resort in AR or MO.

      Thanks

I happen to know a thing or two about that.

When we started TSing, we were dual-affiliated. II had the exotic destinations, but nothing, literally, at Branson or Lake of the Ozarks. That has changed. But, they are still not as strong in the Heartland.

PM me if you wanna talk Missouri resorts.

FWIW, in mentioning Anon and Bootleg, I was always fascinated by people's fascinations with them. They could say anything they wanted, and everyone sucked it up like gospel. But, then someone like Madge said something, which was official, and everyone took issue with it.

I can't recall anyone ever questioning anything Bootleg said. He wasn't high enough to really know some of the things he said. He did what we did . . . saw things and speculated how they came about.

Anyway, I found that fascinating, how much stock was given to a complete stranger because they were willing to speak to us from the other side. The unofficial part added the cloak and dagger stuff everyone ate up.

I've known people on the other side who helped people on these forums without the people they were helping ever knowing and without them taking credit for it.

Spillling the beans about a supposed employer, badmouthing the company that writes your paycheck, just kinda stikes me as odd.

There have been many a time when I got someone at an exchange company on the phone, them being the ones that were supposed to be able to help me, and I could tell in the first minute they did not even begin to know what I knew about whatever I was calling about. Yet, when they post on a forum, we give them carte blanche credibility.

Or because they claimed their incorrect information was official

Boot's info was very accurate. I had been in contact with an RCI supervisor who quit and was willing to spill the beans. It seem that exchange company management inspires people to be disloyal or else their M.O. is so dishonest that it inspires employees to try to make things right.

I'm going to be straight up, I feel dishonest working in this industry. People are lied to alot by sales agents and its not right. I'm here because I don't like the way some things work and if you pay for something then you deserve an honest answer.

The problem is partly how they pay their staff. It pays to be dishonest and you get nothing for providing a level of service that can keep or lose a customer for the long term.
I am happy to try and provide help and advice on II and can offer personal assistance by PM if needed.

how does request first work? I can never get my head around how you get your inventory if everyone is requesting first?

Officially: banked weeks that aren't requested will go into inventory.

From what i see, they dont. I dealt with a member who had a request and found an exact match on general inventory. I didn't really know what to say.

How much time is given to sheraton owners in the Priority period before those weeks are released for general exchanges?
Do Sheratons owners get Priority over those with on-going searches?

Seems legit, since it's what all us OFs have been saying for years.

You can still purchase getaways in any available location, your geographic restriction is only applicable to exchanging.
