Units with very close check-in dates

Periodically, units will appear for exhange whose check-in date is the same day or the next day (tomorrow). That happened today with a unit at Suites at Fisherman's Wharf, there is a one bdr unit available for tomorrow. I check this area every day for possible exchanges. With even two weeks notice I may have taken it but I just can't drop everything and go tomorrow. Why does this happen? You can't be taking owner deposits one day before check-in. Are people able to cancel one day before, is that a possible cause? Do you take deposits from the resorts at that late date?

You can cancel this late but won't receive a replacement week. You can't deposit this late though.

Sometimes what happens is it takes too long to verify a deposit or the poorly coded system messes things up.
