  • II Exchange Cancellation

What is the II policy on cancelling exchanges before 60 days and between 60-30 days before the exchange starts?

You always lose your exchange fee.

Before 60 days, you get a replacement week with the same exchange value as the original week - good for 1 year from issue.

30-60 days - replacement week good for 1 year from issue BUT can only trade within the 60 day window.

Gets more restrictive if under 30, 14, 7 days.

        What AC?
        You asked about an exchange.

If you have to cancel an AC, you lose everything - it is a bonus you have received, not an exchange using an actual deposited week.
You do not get back the AC fee ($199-299) and do not get another AC to use.

HOWEVER, it never hurts to ask - certainly exceptions have been made and II would probably love to get another $299 from you.
Also see if any of your current exchanges qualify for an "XYZ" bonus week - a second exchange made by paying only the exchange fee.

This is definitely the case. However, if you have a good II rep, they can lift the late cancellation restriction and do the exchange. You have to call in and pay the higher call-centre rate but it's worth it.

For the AC, you might consider 'gifting' it to a friend or family by adding a guest car rather then losing it.
