  • E-Plus....Retrade up to three time.....

I'm trying to get more info on this offering from II. So far, this is all that I have. Can't find anything more in print on the website. does anyone have any further info?

    Maybe I'll call.....

    E-Plus
With E-Plus, you can retrade up to three times for a low one-time fee. Change destinations, resorts, or travel dates — until 24 hours before check-in.

Just got of the phone with II, and now have a little more info.

At the moment, Marriott is not participating in the offer, but might participate in the future. I was told that Sheraton, and most other Resorts are currently participating. The offer is beginning this Sunday, 8/25/13.

For a one time $49 fee, you can exchange your resort/check-in date, or both, up to three times, until 24 hours prior to check-in. The $49 fee is good for one year from your first change of reservation, and can begin anytime after 5 days of confirming your initial reservation with II.

Us regular no name accounts also have this option.
Looks like a good deal for those on the fence trades.

Not a bad deal....Sometimes people grab a resort, or a 1 bdrm, and then a better resort, or a 2 bdrm shows up. Now they can make the switch without paying another exchange fee....The $49 fee is certainly cheaper. Also, if you have to cancel, you would have a year to rebook something new, before loosing your week. Again, somewhat limited, but cheaper than II's insurance.

I'm assuming that you'd need to call and have a rep make the changes, so you wouldn't be able to grab stuff online.

It isn't showing up in the Shell portal. If it ever comes to Shell or marriott, I will gladly pay to have that option. I really do end up changing plans more than I ever keep original plans.

I saw the notice on the sign in page of II's website. I'm not sure that you will see anything on your account, at least not yet, so maybe you should give II a call.

I've used it already. You can use it for a Marriott that is not enrolled in the DC. You can select eplus when you make an exchange. The option remains in your exchange history for 5 days after you make an exchange. You can then retrade online for no additional fees. You can now also retrade online without calling II to do it. If you did not originally select eplus it will cost the full exchange fee to retrade. It is great that you don't have to do it during II business hours now. The retrades that you make can not be for more than 1 year from the check in of the original exchange. So if you exchange for something that has a check in for 12/20/2013 any retrades that you make with eplus must be completed by 12/20/2014.

One thing that worked for me is I had a cancellation week that had to be used by 6/8/2014. I did an exchange with it and added in the $49 for eplus and now I can retrade up until a year from my May 2014 check in so I can now retrade for free and have almost an extra year.

You will only see the epus option when you complete and exchange or in your exchange history for up to 5 days after an exchange. You should also be able to see the online retrade option in your exchange history for any exchanges you have booked but haven't come to pass yet.

Wow....Thanks Sally for the great info! I wonder why the rep at II told me it was starting this Sunday? Anyway, its great that you can trade online without having to call II. With that info, I'd be much more likely to use this option!

                  E-PLUS FAQS

                  Close All | Open All
                  Q. What is E-Plus?

E-Plus allows members to retrade their confirmed exchange up to three times for a different destination, resort, unit size, or travel date for a one-time fee.

                  Q. What is a retrade?

A retrade is when a member changes their original confirmed exchange to a different destination, resort, unit size, or travel date for an additional full exchange fee.

                  Q. How does E-Plus differ from a regular retrade?

With E-Plus, members pay a nominal one-time fee (in addition to the exchange fee) for the option to change their confirmation up to three times at no additional cost. With a regular retrade, members can change their confirmed exchange for as many times as needed, but they have to pay the full exchange fee each time.

                  Q. Why should I purchase E-Plus instead of a retrade?

E-Plus provides the utmost in flexibility! E-Plus allows you to retrade, or change your plans, up to three times for only a one-time fee. If you retrade without E-Plus, you must pay the full exchange fee each time you change your plans.

                  Q. When can I purchase E-Plus?
E-Plus can be purchased when an exchange request is initially placed and continuing up to 5 days after your exchange has been confirmed so long as the purchase is prior to the check-in date of the originally confirmed resort accommodations.
                  Q. How do I purchase E-Plus?

E-Plus can be purchased when you confirm an exchange or when placing or modifying a pending request. After your exchange has been confirmed, you will have a five-day window in which you can still purchase E-Plus.

Members with eligible confirmations can purchase E-Plus at IntervalWorld.com on the My History page within the Exchange tab.

If your unit is eligible for an E-Plus purchase, you will see the Purchase E-Plus button under the Actions column. E-Plus can also be purchased by calling your local Interval International Member-Services Center.

                  Q. How much is E-Plus?

The cost of E-Plus is currently $49 USD. (Please note: Prices vary by members' country of residence).

                  Q. How often can I purchase E-Plus?

E-Plus can be purchased once for each confirmed exchange or pending request.

                  Q. Is E-Plus refundable?

An E-Plus fee will only be refunded if the original exchange request for which the E-Plus was purchased cannot be confirmed or if cancellation of the original request is received prior to the issuance of the Confirmation.
E-Plus fees will not be refunded under any other circumstances.

                  Q. Does E-Plus expire?

Yes. E-Plus is valid for a year from the check-in date of your first exchange confirmation. It does not extend with the check-in dates of your retrades.

                  Q. Can I purchase E-Plus for Getaways?

E-Plus cannot be purchased for Getaways.

                  Q. Can I purchase E-Plus for ShortStay Exchange® or Interval Options®?

E-Plus is not currently available for ShortStay Exchange or Interval Options.

                  Q. Why can't I see/purchase E-Plus?

Currently, there are some members who do not have the option to purchase E-Plus. Due to a phased technology rollout, we are hopeful to have E-Plus available to Marriott individual week, Shell Vacations Club, and Hyatt Vacation Club memberships by the end of the year. At this time, E-Plus is not available for Marriott Club Destinations, Club Intrawest or Diamond memberships.

                  Q. Should I still purchase insurance?

Interval recommends that all members purchase resort accommodation insurance in the event your vacation must be postponed or cancelled due to certain unforeseen circumstances. The purchase of insurance covers the value of the forfeited accommodations of up to $1000.

                  Q. Who do I contact for more information?

Call your local Interval International Member-Services Center and speak to a vacation advisor. If you are a qualifying member of E-Plus, you can also go to the E-Plus page under the Benefits section for more information.

Although I was told that Marriott Destination Club was currently not participating in this offer, it appears that they are.....I have the option of "Start Retrade" with two exchanges I recently made using weeks that are enrolled in the Destination Club.

I'm realizing now that "Start Retrade" is not the same offer, but a similar perk thats offered to MDC. There is no fee involved to "retrade," since there was no fee to for the initial trade. Cool.....I didn't even know that I had the option of an online retrade.

Yes, but since you don't have to pay an intial fee to exchange from one Marriott to another thru the DC, I think you might be able to retrade without a fee? Not sure tho?

Yes. I agree. If they are Marriott weeks in the corporate Marriott DC II Account, retrades are included in the club fee we pay
