        I don't know from personal experience, I am not a gold member. But from what I read here and on TUG, unless you do enough Getaways each year to make your money back or more, it probably is not worth upgrading for the other benefits.

          You only save $25 per Getaway. You would need to take more than two per year to have the membership pay for itself. Getaways used to be a great deal, but they have gotten more expensive overall and I don't use them much anymore.
