If you deposit a 5 star resort with II, then when they send you their directory, the 5* resorts will have the 5* emblem. Same thing with the on-line directory.
If you do not deposit a 5* resort, the emblem does not show up in either. As far as I know.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
It seems to me that there once was one along with lists of resorts getting other rewards/certificates, such a superior service, etc.. I have seen them but it was several years ago. Best bet would be to ask II.
I am unaware of any list that seperates the 5* from the other resorts in II. Although, there very well may be one.
For now, here is the link to their on-line resort directory. You need to go to each area seperately, and then the 5* emblem will appear next to any 5* resort.
I signed in for you, because you need to be a member. However, this link will usually time out, so I hope it works, by the time you read this.

If you go to the TUG Ratings area and search a subgroup "Area" - like "USA - Southeast" - it shows all resorts for which TUG has ratings within that subgroup. The chart (with the ratings) identifies RCI/II awards for each resort, though it may be somewhat out-of-date. It's a starting point, I suppose.
Almost every Marriott you come across in the II Directory is a five star, and if it isn't, it is probably pretty close. Marriott has divested itself of some properties lately (e.g. Vail, CO and Hilton Head, SC) . . . Some of these retain a 5 star rating and others do not . . . Even without the rating, I would imagine that they are all nicer than the average timeshare . . . Why Marriott disposed of them, I don't know.
Though I haven't done this for years, at one time there was an annual check done for accuracy on the reviews lists, so my guess is that the best one can expect is the ratings being updated to the last printed directories. Changes in ratings are ongoing, so it would be very time consuming to continually check for post directory print changes.

In order to see any 5 star resorts on II you need to first own a five star resort and second have it registered with II. This is the only way you're going to see them. The Resort Directory catalog, which also lists 5 star resorts, is only sent out to owners of 5 star resorts so if you know somebody who owns one you might get them to send you their old directory, if they still have one.
