QB, the other thing to note is that II membership rates are supposed to be going up on Nov 1. I don't what what they are supposed to be going up to though.

2 for 1 and prices going UP Nov 1.

I called I.I. today (Sat) and they said nothing about such an offer.. only that people buying through WorldMark were to be offered the deal. The best thing they could offer was the 3 yr. for $215. with a travel clock thrown in.
Now this may have been due to WHAT the resort(s) are that you own,, there is a "code" in parens after the listing of the resort you own at.. supposedly on the renewal letter --whichever sort you rec'd in the last month or 2 that tells them what 'gift' you are eligible to recieve. The rep. I spoke with said that if I didnt answer the renewal offer by next week, I would be charge a more expensive rate.. ANY MORE people getting the run-around here? I have less than a yr left, so by tomorrow I must decide something... I have 1 5 star with them listed now.. also an Aruba 2 bd. so it is not shabby weeks I own.

Forget about the clock, I got it and it is cheap looking. They also give out a Pen. You are better off with that.

I talked with another guide today and here's the scoop (according to this one):

The 2 for 1 is only for owners of Worldmark resorts. If II has you listed as a Worldmark owner, then you qualify for the 2 for 1 promotion. This promotion is scheduled to last until November 30.

On the issue of membership prices increasing, it only affect those that buy 2 and 3 year memberships. The 2 year membership rate is increasing from $158 to $168 and the 3 year membership is increasing from $215 to $219. The one year and 5 year membership rates are not changing.

That's the scoop. However, I would like to know if the OP or the other posters are WM members (or have been) so validate what I've heard from II.

I called II regarding this matter and they claim it depends on which resorts you own at. Although it is sent out by II, it is offered because of the resort that you are an owner.

The two resorts where I own are NOT a part of Worldmark so there obviously has to be more offers out there for other resort owners.

Anyone know of any specials being offered for new membership rather than renewals?
