  • Getting II membership - Which resort to make home resort?

Does it matter which resort I should use to designate as home resort in II? I seem to remember reading somewhere not to designate my tiger resort as the primary resort so that I can use it to search first as a secondary.

We own a spring week at Mountainside Lodge and a summer week at Inverness at Walden. Which should I designate 1st or 2nd? (or am I even making sense?)

It shouldn't matter. When search with my 4 different II units, they all pull different resorts.

I can also choose which resort to search with, and they each pull differently. Keep in mind that the II website can be pretty 'buggy,' so don't believe it the first time it tells you that there is no availability. You sometimes have to hit the Search button a few times...

I'm not sure it makes a great deal of difference with II, but there were some indications that it is used as an indicator over at RCI.

          Quality filter.

At one time it was discussed that if you join first with a high quaility week that your getaway selection would be limited by the quality of your joining week. You could always see higher quality but never lower quality.

I don't now remember if this was RCI or II. Just to be sure, I would join with my lowest quality week first with II.

I have been playing with my 2007 Inverness week in II, let me know if you want some trade tests before you take the plunge... I am a bit underwhelmed and am considering depositing it with RCI... but otoh it did see those Nepal weeks you liked...

It is seeing Orlando Marriotts in January, but not the Disney resorts even within flexchange...

I believe this was with RCI which used the home resort number as the first 4 digits of the member number.
