Does anyone feel the Gold membership is worthwhile?

Other than the $25 discount per Getaway, are there any other "real" benefits to the Gold membership? From what I've read, the benefits seem to be more on paper than in real use and everyone seems to say not to spend the extra $'s. Does anyone here feel they get their money's worth out of it and, if so, why?

If you book Getaways for yourself, family, or close friends, it's definitely worth it. Some friends of ours booked a Marriott Getaway through our II membership recently and they are thrilled with the price we could get for them. The money saved on lodging will help them buy their Disney passes.

You have to calculate it out for yourself. If what you expect to save exceed the cost, then it works - otherwise forget it and be careful that they don't confuse you into buying it thinking it's a regular membership extension.

I had it and canceled it. Not worth it unless you plan on renting from them.

You only break even at two getaways per year. At three you save a whopping $25.

I use my brothers to get the Getaway discount....which is cool....makes up for the guest cert fees. But only if you are going to use the getaway feature...otherwise....naw.

Thanks everyone. I hope the Getaways are enticing to use, but I probably would only use it once or twice a year at most. $25 is a nice savings but won't make or break the trip, so I think for now I will just sign up for the regular membership.
