Sorry in advance for asking such a dumb question but i havent found the answer on II website. I am a RCI member for 3 years and i know how exchange works there (well, i-e if we have any... but that is another story... 
). Here's my ?: I have an unit deposit with II but for the place i wanna go (march 2008) there is no match right now so i asked them to do a research. Had to pay 149$ fees plus 64$ insurance (i guess that insurance allows me to cancel if anything bad happen to me previously to the trip right?) and now that i have payed they are searching... With RCI, that money paid is like a credit. Is it the same with II? What happens if they dont find a match by spring 2008? You lose the money charged on your credit card? Last question: If they find a match (i requested among 9 choices) do i have to accept it or can i refuse if the units is much smaller than i expected ?(i exchanged a 2 bedroom but can live with a 1 bedroom for the exchange but no studio!). With RCI, when they found a match they call you and you can still say NO if you dont like what they found. Wonder if it is the same with II...
