  • 24 hours to cancel ?

I read on another timeshare board, that when you make an exchange you can cancel it within 24 hours of the time you made it, and they will refund your exchange fees?

    That is correct.

Do you get an actual refund? or a credit?

P.S. Dave, are trying for 5,000 posts here? (I hope so!)

II gives you a refund. They don't jerk you around like RCI in that respect... and to the OP, the 24 cancellation rule d/n apply if checkin is within 7 days...

I am really happy that Dave is posting here too. He gives so much good information on TUG. Congratulations again for your 5,000 posts there.

to the end of the next business day?

What if I just did an online booking shortly after midnight. Do I have to cancel before midnight of that same day because if I wait 24 hours, II will be closed. Or would I actually get until business close of the next following day (therefore actually more than 24 hours)?

              Does that make sense?

I would call and ask about that question.

I did cancel at the 30th or so hour and had no problem but the situation you are talking about would be that you should call the next business day from the day you booked it online. Since you have to call to cancel that would be right around 32 to 36 hours later. If you had to call and cancel in the current day you would likely have at best 21 or 22 hours.

Once I was confirm to a wrong week. I emailed them and followed with a call. When a talked to the rep, they already corrected the problem based on the email. I suggest email them so that you can show you have contacted them with the 24 hrs.
