I have been watching II getaway weeks for Lawrence Welk, Escondido as we have a soccer tournament in the area in about a month. I hesitated purchasing of course due to the fires. I know EXACTLY what they were asking for them. They put Welk and the Ramona timeshares in the advisory-but they never removed them from exchange or purchase. Well, now that Escondido is out of danger-I went to buy the week I wanted and Guess what?? They raised the prices. Not horribly-but still. That bothers me.

They raised the price??? It usually comes down as time runs out. Is this an indication that getaway pricing is going up? They certainly aren't as cheap as they used to be but still a bargain. I currently have a discount because of a new corporate account. It runs out pretty soon (the discount that is) so I've been hoping to take advantage for LWR or Palm Springs in January! The legitimate object of Government is to do for a community of people whatever they need to have done but cannot do at all or cannot do so well for themselves”- Lincoln

I have no idea what is going on-but the price for 2bds has been raised again! This is for check in this Friday. I hate to think they are taking advantage of those might need accomodations due to the fire(s). I booked mine yesterday with an AC-so I got a 2bd for the price of a 1bd getaway week. The 2bd getaways were 425.00 Yesterday and now they are 500.00.
