if you mean membership years, I'm not sure, I think they do that for some specialty owners like Worldmark, perhaps others. If you mean weeks, depends on what you have to deposit, if in demand, it gets a bonus week, or "accommodation certificate."

Originally posted by katiemackGlitter, I should have been more clear, I do mean membership years. I am aware of the AC's, and even had a couple of good uses of them. I was just wondering if they ever give added incentives to renew with a 2 for 1 year.

As an owner at Polo Towers we were offered a 2/4/1 deal several months back. It seems as if it had been several years since we were offered the 2/4/1/ incentive. Of the resorts we own it was only the Polo Towers weeks that recieved the offer. Our timeshare and other photo's at http://dougp26364.smugmug.com/

You never know on the specials if they will extend them to other than the specific resort groups they are offered to. If you don't have anything in the bank and don't require II membership at the time of membership expiration, they will make special offers after your membership expires. It may be a good idea to make a call and see what you can get from them.

I had a 2 for 1 offer back in May and tried to use it two weeks ago when I wanted to add my newest purchase at Costa Linda. I gave them the promotion code and was told it was expired. I asked if she could check with a supervisor and she kept me on hold for about ten minutes and then told me her supervisor could not give me the promotion of 2 for 1 since it was no longer available in their computer system. Let me know if you get it and I will try again.LARRY

Well, thanks all for your advice. My DH had an offer from II sent in his name that offered him membership...a 2 for 1....and he found the promo in his desk pile (you know how that goes)....so I called them and said, "you are offering my DH a membership, but he has the one with me...now you offer him the 2 for 1, couldn't you just let me use that offer to extend our membership"....she said she would try, but then came back and told me that the Source Code wasn't working, and that she couldn't do it. I asked her to check with a supervisor, and she did, coming back and saying "sorry, no can do"...but I asked her politely to check further, on up the line, and she said "call me back."
I didn't have to, because she called me about 40 minutes later, and said "yes, I can do it for you, now." So we got a 2 for one: cost $84. Thanks all. Good luck, Larry.Life is short, live it with this awareness.
