  • How does II inform you if they find a match for your ongoing request?

If you place a specific request, for a specific timeframe with at least 3 alternatives to find for a match...does II just make the match or do they call in advance to tell you that there is a match.

RCI used to just match it, never call you, and then one day you either got a surprise when you signed on or a confirmation in the mail....how does II do it?

I've only done Marriott trades through II and they've always just sent a confirmation e-mail. I've never talked to anyone there, other than when they tried to sell me a subscription extension

Edited to add that the confirmation also shows up in my exchange history at II online, but I always know first from the e-mail.

Same here - always an email (or 2 occasionally) but I have had them call me on occasion about something specific.

Thanks for the feedback. (sorry this is a late thanks, but, for some reason I just don't always see all the posts)

Most of the time I get an email. I recall one time they with no email and at least once they matched the wrong date.

I usually receive an email, and then a post card in the mail, a few days later.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

E-mail, usually outside the 24 hour period to cancel, and then a confirming postcard. I have always deposited first, so a request first may differ.

Thanks everyone for your answers....instead, we ended up dropping the ongoing search and making a match manually on our own. This is the 2nd time I have not seen II computer match an ongoing search....so it is beginning to feel like RCI service in some ways....we shall see.
