Can an AC ever be extended past the expiration date?

I have heard someone was able to find a week just outside the AC expiry range and II rep was kind enough to extend the AC to reserve the week. It is worth a try.

A couple of weeks ago I called II to try and entend an AC for someone on this board who needed a week. I was told no -- it can't be done. Then, I called back to the Marriott II rep (since I own a Marriott timeshare) and that II rep extended the AC to allow me to book the week. The extension was only for a couple of weeks, but it was allowed. The rep said he needed to do it as an exception to the policy, but he was able to do it.

I have had heard that with the rep on the phone they may give you up to 3-4 weeks as long as you book it early enough. Meaning don't wait for a week before the Exp.
Also if you can not use it give it away here someone can use it and imo good things will come back to those who give.

it can be done for a few weeks if the unit you want its available and you're ready to book it.
