I have no experience with II Ac's. I have a friend who has 2 in her account...one expires 6/19/08. Does the grid ever go away? I read about people pulling things in flexchange-but would flexchange be considered 59 days before check in or 59 days before the expiration of the AC?

Try doing two searches, one search for 0-59 days out. Then after you see that do a search for 60-?? days out.

I guess the AC from our resort doesn't hold same power as a AC from II.
We have until May 31 to use it and nothing changes.
Within the 59 days we still only have use of same resorts and locations we have no interest in going to.
I told II eight months ago if this was my choices then it would just sit in our acct until it runs out.

If you can see it with another timeshare, click it, leave it open, and then go directly back to your "My Units" page, and click your AC.
I often see that my AC can get weeks not on my grid by doing that. If II won't allow you to use your AC, after you have clicked your AC, the grid page will re-appear.Angela
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I have done this many times and the list shows me the full list of getaways and when I select it reverts back to my small list of resorts.
I talk to II and was told yes the AC from my resort holds less power than II AC's.
We are now going to our home resort in May so this will go unused.
I had a very nice lady on Tug ask about buying it from me and I told her she could just pay the cost as a guest if she wanted it. I then went on line with her on the phone and gave her the choices.
When I called II they told me I couldn't give these away either because resort AC not able to do this.

The grid doesn't change if u r beyond 59 days - but there IS NO GRID in the 59 day window.
Does that make sense?

So will II offer you one of THEIR 'ACs" which in fact is a good value - u should ask them what week they give ACs for (if at all) at your resort.

Saw this second post after I posted.

No they would not trade it for theirs.
This was give to us because we bought a second unit from our resales dept at good price for eoy Tower unit with owner discounts.
I did go on today and try even though now our plans are reset after Maui canceled because of booking two airlines and both went belly-up!
It showed Marroitt's in Orlando and few other places that were not on our list. When I hit select button the list reverted back to the small list for our choices.
Our list matches the II getaway list of about 15 locations and many are out of the country.
I'm not worried about this because we gave up five months ago but makes me wonder if people have same problems when they try II AC.

The answer is yes, I have use II ACs frequently and they are very valuable.
I have stayed at Disney Vacation Club, Villas at Polo Towers, Marriott Aruba Surf and Ocean Club, Marriott Fairway Villas, Marriott in Hilton Head.
Lots of nice places....

Originally posted by JudySI have never heard of "resort ACs" before. How do these work? I assume they are something the resort puts into your II account?
I get ACs from II for depositing most of the weeks that I own. They are really quite valuable. I mostly use mine to go to the Disney Vacation Club.
