  • LD Window extended

Interval has extended the window for all LD's up until Nov 03 2008.

This can only be used if you call, you won't be able to see availability past 59 days if you try to exchange your week online.

Wow, that is a long "flextime window"!

I have a week at a resort that took a long time to get registered in II, so I wasn't able to deposit 60 days out. I currently have it for rent on eBay, but no takers yet. I'm tempted to cancel the auction and deposit in II.

Do you think this is just some sort of glitch, or did the II rep say this was intentional? I'm wondering if this will still be available once my auction runs its course. Also, I'm wondering if II might offer this again -- I already have four II trades between now and November plus a camping trip in July, I'm not sure I can squeeze in another vacation!

It has been extended to 75 days for a while now. Looks like they are extending the date even further. That's great. If you see anything that you want to use a flexchange week to grab, ( if outside the 59 day window) call II and see if they'll give it to you.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I don't think OP was referring to the flex-change window of 75 days versus 60 days to 'see' stuff.

I believe that if you make a late deposit of your unit into II under the 60 day deadline - such as deposit a June 28th check-in today - you can use it to trade out as far out as November instead of being restricted to the next 60 days....I think

Oh.....Now I understand! Yes, I misunderstood what the OP was saying.

Wait....Maybe I did understand, after all.

I think that's what I was saying, as well.....Basically, the flexchange window has been extended, even further, no?

Or do need to go get another cup of coffee.

                  I thought 'flex-change was......yes, more coffee!

edit - I THINK I was thinking flex in relation to the use of an AC anywhere within 60 days - and they did extend that to 75...this is in relationship to a late deposited WEEK - not just an AC,,,,
Good thing I have a Gevalia Pot .....

doule edit - is it too early to start doing shots

ok sorry if I didn't explain myself correctly, what I'm trying to say is If you currently have a LD (60 day travel window) you'll be able to search inventory and book anything up until November 16th(Travel Date would have to be before this date).

The Rep said that the reason why II does this is because the inventory for summer right now is VERY limited and a lot of people have weeks expiring by then. As you all know, once you extend your week it'll go into a LD so that's why they extended the travel window.

So people that extend their weeks will be able to book something now and not have to wait until 60 days before the check in date and see the same limited inventory.

It is complicated and I almost didn't understand but the Rep was very nice and explained everything to me more than once.

You guys might not want to pay attention to the details if it confuses you but just know you'll be able to use your LD to book something up until November 16th but remember ONLY calling you'll be able to do it

Thank you for the info!! This is a good opportunity for anyone with weeks expiring this year. I hope they're able to advantage.

Excellent to point out - if searching online, you will still be able to book ONLY in the next 60 days...you need to CALL to exchange up until November.

This is a SMART move on II's part as they traditionaally have LOTS of fall inventory available....so they get an extension fee (from people whose weeks are expiring and pay the fee to extend it's use) plus an exchange fee.
