  • Multiple resorts with II membership

Recently, I purchased 2 TS weeks at different resorts. Both include an II membership.

What happens in this case? Does II combine the memberships into one or do I end up with 2 accounts? Do I have to make that request to combine the accounts? Is there a fee to do that? Will I have to notify the resorts if the memberships are combined?

Sorry - lots of questions!! - new to this! Thanks in advance...

Hi Free and Welcome to TS4Ms

You will have to tell us what two resorts u own.
Certain ownerships require that you have a separate II 'corporate' account that ONLY that ownership can be in.
One of our members has 3 - One for Starwood SVN ownership, one for Hyatt ownership and one for 'regular' weeks!

One is through American Resorts International (Austria timeshare - Alpenland). The other is through Surrey Grand Crowne in Branson.... I know that I am required to deposit my Austria week with II if I want to exchange (can't reserve a week and then trade on Redweek, etc.) - not sure about Grand Crowne.

Actually, you CAN give your week to an independent company as u own it, not the management company.
Your resort MUST be affiliated with II and/or RCI to deposit with them, but not Redweek, SFX, DAE, TPI, etc.

And just to understand, did your resort 'give' you a free years membership as part of your developer purchase?
Or are u saying that your resorts trade thru II?

When I purchased my developer week with Marriott, they gave me one year free with II, but then I paid for subsequent years.

So if each of these resorts 'gave' you an II account, then yes, you can combine them and extend your membership by one year.
That would then give u 2 years membership.

Right now I have 8 ownerships in my II account, but I will soon be getting an II 'corporate' account that will only have my Wyndham/FSP points in it - it is paid for by Wyndham from the MFs I pay on the points - not exactly 'free'

It very likely that they can be combined into a single II account.

Good Luck and Welcome to TS4Ms
