  • Trading Bluegreen resort into Colorado ski week in 2009

    Hi,

I'm pretty new. I'm a BG owner and have always used RCI to trade (and had varying levels of success). I'm not an experienced/savy TS owner yet.

I want to try II. Some of my BG resorts are in II's resort directory and therefore I'm assuming I can get a membership and deposit. In particular, Harbour Lights (Myrtle Beach) and Lodge Alley Inn (Charleston, SC) seem to be rated gold whatever.

I'm looking for an exchange into a Colorado ski resort in either the Breckenridge area or the Vail/Avon/Beaver Creek area for Jan or Feb 2009. I'm hoping to get a Silver rated resort or better. I'm hoping to get a 2 BR also.

I do not have a BG reservation yet. I am thinking about trying to get a 2 BR @ Harbour Lights for 4th of July week in 2009 and a 2 BR @ Lodge Alley Inn for Presidents Day week 2009

    1) What do you think my chances are?
    2) Is it too late for exchanges into ski weeks for 2009?
    3) Does anyone know what BG resorts trade well in II?
    4) Does anyone know if these reservation will qualify for those ACs I've read about?

Any opinions or advice is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jason

you might get a 2bdr trading any of those 2 weeks but only placing yourself in a request, you will find close to nothing for ski season available

I own a Lakeside Terrace(Starwood) ski week and on II, Starwood did a bulk bank of ski weeks on 5/21/09 also Sheraton Mountain Vista. Both are in Avon, CO just down the hill from Beaver Creek and in the Vail Valley. Most if not all those weeks are gone on II.

I know LT trades on RCI also, I think SMV does too(just joined RCI, don't have my book yet).

I'm a bluegreen owner too, but as far as I know, I only have RCI membership. How can I get II membership? Anyone know?
