  • AC same value as original deposit?????

So.....I always assumed ACs had a lower trade power. But, then an II rep told me that I was wrong...the will have the same power as my original unit.

Well....I can see the week I want with my original unit.....but not with the AC which is the one I want to use cuz it expires sooner.

I know there are glitches in the system - actually it seems like you need to stay ontop of II to ensure things happen the way they should.

    Any insight?

You should be able to see exactly the same stuff with the AC as u do with the original week - as long as you are 'in the grid'

So if your original week is seeing something 6 weeks from now, so should the AC.
But if u are looking at something 3 months from now and the area is not on the grid - u will not see it.....

DOUBLE BUT - it can not hurt to call II and say...I see this with my week but would prefer to use my AC to confirm it - could u do that for me please....and see what happens.
II makes its money collecting fees....if u use your AC - that is an extra fee they collect.

However, there are some resorts u can NOT get with an AC - check the cert and see which ones they are.

When you mention the grid - is that the screen that appears when I try to search with something with my AC - but there is no availablity. The screen that shows up has about 30 or so areas on the left - then months at the top and squares that can or can't be checked off?

Yes, that grid tells you what you can and cannot obtain with your AC past Flexchange - which is 60 days out.

That doesn't mean there is no availability - it means that you are searching beyond 'open season' or past the 60 day mark - within 60 days, if u can see it, you can book it - beyond 60 days, u can only search using the grid - so check off Orlando in January and April, Ireland in December, Palm Springs in May - that type of thing - and then hit the search button at the bottom of the page.
