DVC trade for June - 2nd guessing

Arg.....hate this.

So friends are going the last week in June - I saw the BWV Studio this morning and grabbed it with an AC.

Now, I'm second guessing myself.....the heat....the crowds. Heck this is why we go to Disney in Nov and Jan to avoid all of this.

I booked at 8:00am this morning. Just called II to see what would happen if I cancel. They said since it was done with an AC I won't get it back and I lose the exchange fee. I knew about the fee - but didn't know I wouldn't get my week back.

Also - asked how I can cancel tomorrow morning since they don't open until 9am. They said that was ok to call even though it will be 25 hours.

I have been to the disboards and they confirmed heat and crowds.

HATE it when I can't make a decision!!!!!

Ok - I cancelled - should be showing up soon for anyone that doesn't mind the warmer weather!

I am guessing that since you cancelled during the 24 hour period you got your week and no fee charged. Is that correct? It is hot in June. We went the 2nd week in June this year and it was hot and already more crowded than what we like.

I don't like that II is no longer affliated with Disney. I guess I will have to start looking for some resorts very close but not on site.

Did your November ever match up an exchange?

I guess you saw where we got a week in a 1 bedroom for May 23rd at BWV and a 2 bedroom for a week at SSR on Sept. 20th. Those dates are going to have to work for us this year.

I get my DVC points again in December 2009 so I will be using those for a few trips in 2010. At least I am covered for the next few years. To conserve on points in 2009 I will probably stay sunday - thursday at DVC and stay Fri and Sat off property with an exchange and just waste the rest of the week.

What are your plans?
