II won't allow a AC for use at a different "home" resort

I have an AC from a deposit I made with my SoCal TS, Riviera Shores.

II will not allow me to use the AC for a flexchange exchange into total different TS system in Whistler because I also happen to own at that same resort in Whistler.

So even though I have have an AC issued by a SoCal TS system, they are blocking me because they say I'm trying to trade into my other "home" resorts.

So the thing I found from this is: the more resorts you have with II, the more restrictions II will place on you.

That's odd. I have used an AC that I had gotten from one Marriott to exchange into another Marriott, at which I owned, a number of times. Never had a problem. I wonder if II is getting tougher with the use of their AC's?

At any rate, that's a shame. I hope that you can work something out.

Hmmmm, that is interesting (and not good for you!)

WAIT, I used an AC two years ago from a FXR week deposit and traded it into my home resort at Marriott Aruba Surf Club - I will admit I exchanged on the same day as check-in so maybe that is why they were willing to take my money!

I kicked it up to a supervisor who still insisted that she could not help me. We all know you can't use an AC to trade back into your home resort, BUT I never have thought that that meant you couldn't trade into any resort you own.

That doesn't sound right!!

I'm still pissed. Should I try a different supervisor??

Even though I really don't need it anymore since my DD & husband just called to say they couldn't go.

What the supervisor told me was that I couldn't use the certificate because I was trying to trade back into my home resort. I told them that the AC was from a TS in SoCal and the TS in Whistler had no affiliation with the Socal resort. The supervisor said that as far as II was concerned all the resorts I owned and in my II account were my "home resort".

It turns out that something is very wrong.

I just saw that a unit in my SoCal resort is available for exchange starting this weekend. The AC I got from depositing that unit is pulling that exchange. So The AC ia able to pull it's home resort.

I'll be calling II first thing tomorrow.

PS - I own 2 TS systems which have TS resorts in Palm Springs. One is a highly rates TS and the other although nice isn't as highly rated. I checked if a studio from each system with the same July check in date could pull my Whistler exchange, only the studio from the lessor TS system could pull the whistler exchange.

Something is wrong!!
