I did an exchange yesterday on II. My deposited week was from this March (March 22, 2009) and did not expire until March 2011. My exchange week was for May 2010. My membership was good thru August 2010.

II would not let me make the exchange until I renewed for one more year. I thought if the transaction weeks (deposited week and exchange week) were within the membership range, you were okay.

Do you have to have a valid membership until your deposited week expires? Is this new?

The same thing happened to me last week. I was not able to complete the transaction on line until I extended my membership even though I was within the proper timeframe. After I extended it on line, I called II and had them cancel the membership extension. Seems like a deliberate effort on their part to bring in more money.
