24 Cancel - refresh my memory

I really want a week at the end of August at a local resort. Just saw that Ang posted it under opps today. I have a dilema. I really wanted to use an AC that will expire soon for this trip....but I need to wait another month for flex to open up.

My questions.
If I use a regular week and then I see something else opens within flex will II let switch the week I used for the AC. With a 2nd fee of course.

If I book this using my regular week right now, can I still cancel within 24 hours.

Normally, yes. Although I have heard unconfirmed reports that the most recent batch of ACs stil have some grid restrictions. The other thing to consider is that II will not return your original week back to you. You will get a replacement week effective to 1 year from the date of the cancellation. If your original week had an exchange period that goes longer than that, you will have lost some time (vice versa also applies about having gained some). Depending on the check-in date and when you cancel to use the AC, your replacment week could also be restricted to the 60 day period.
