Winter trades to FL - ShortStay?

It looks like we'll be getting my inlaw's week in New Orleans, which we'll probably never visit and may not be a great trader. But I'm going to give it a try. We'd like to go to FL this winter (Jan-Mar) and are best travelling on short notice, but do you think any ShortStays will be available in southern FL or the panhandle? Not too interested in Orlando, Tampa or Ft. Lauderdale. What about the Carribbean, are those even harder to get?

I usually see stuff available in Weston but not sure what else other than Lehigh and Orlando you will see. I'll let the snowbirds help you better on this one.
