I know that you can cancel an exchange within 24 hours of booking. However, I thought that you actually had until their offices closed the next business day. Either I was wrong or they are now holding to a literal 24 hours.
I had booked an exchange on line yesterday at 11:30 AM. I called tonight at 7:30 pm to cancel and was told that I would lose part of my exchange fee because it was after 24 hours. After being put on hold then disconnected twice I finally got a guide on the third try to give me my full exchange fee back. He said that he was doing this despite all the notes in my file. I don't really know what he meant by that but I wasn't going to ask. Nor was I about to ask for clarification on the 24 hour rule. Once I got what I wanted, I was done.
So was my memory wrong or has it always been a literal 24 hours?
