  • Weeks SW Fl Trade Test

For those who like to do this sorta thing, whatya see for the following?

It's easiest just to do a regular search FL/Southern Gulf Coast, and see if any of them are available.

    0601, 3043, 3038, 0045, 2765, 3044, 0613, 2023, 0731, 0344, 0229, 3041, 3042, 2197, 3032

    Thanks

    Your search for "0601, 3043, 3038, 0045, 2765, 3044, 0613, 2023, 0731, 0344, 0229, 3041, 3042, 2197, 3032" returned no results with availability 12/04/09 - 12/01/11

I don't think you can search the whole list at once in the generic search box. I think you have to search them one at a time. For example:

Your search for "dv01, dv02, dv03" returned no results

      but

      1 Resorts matched "dv01"

Although the RCI.com du jour does not say it, previous versions have allowed up to 48 resort IDs to be searched.

The Search Tips does say multiple locations are allowed, but does not specifically say multiple resort IDs:

        Search Tips
The best results are searches based on:
Resort Names (ex. Del Boca Vista Beach Resort)
        Resort Ids (ex. 0034)
Regions and Activities (ex. Orlando, golf)
        Attractions (ex. Hershey Park)
Multiple Locations ex. Cayman Islands, Aruba

The ongoing search tool uses the old interface w/comma-separated lists, and you can use it without actually placing an ongoing search. But then you've got the 10-week limit. Even still, that might be easier to use than the "new" interface one resort at a time.

I'll go with B on this.

I searched 3 I know are available and by multiple resort ID search they are not. By single resort ID search they are.

So, I gave my favorite friendly Feedback person a heads-up, suggesting it is probably a glitch that happened 5/30 when the 30,000 deposits were being moved to a better place, and since the techies are not looking for them, they might have time to correct the resort ID search thingie.

I played around a bit with that search thingie and it is extremely glitchy.

So, B, back to the task at hand . . . can you see any availability when you check them one at a time?

I also do not see any of those resorts doing a regular search for FL/SGC.

Did you or can you try a Vacation Guide to see if you get the same results? Also do you have On-going Searches for these resorts?

I'll have to check later---backed up right now. You might get someone to look if you post a request down in sightings.

I can see resort 3033 - that's pretty close to resort 3032... in number anyway. And it's a studio! In mid-December 2010. Yee-haw! Maybe you need to broaden your horizons??

For those not aware of what is up here, this is a follow-up to the 30000 or so deposits that disappeared from RCI 5/30/09. The resort IDs listed here are the SW FL HGVC resorts, which seem to have disappeared altogether, except for the 14/21-day window, which would likely be cancellations of exchanges confirmed prior to 5/30/09.

I have been searching SW FL for January daily since RCI.com began, 1997, and have documented availability. HGVCs have always been available as they were deposited, but don't appear to be any more.

I have blogged my research here and elsewhere:

                          http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...rts-beach.html

Here is something I said in 2004:

"In my new incarnation, we began timesharing in SW Florida, Weeks 1 and 2 each year, in the early 90's. In those days, with no RCI.com, the method of searching involved ongoing searches and relying on the word of a VC. We typically wound up with Lehigh Acres, and with one of the crappy units across the road at Lahaina Inn one week in the early 90's.

With the advent of RCI.com, a better trading week, TUG, and a dose of reality leading to semi-enlightenment, about five years ago (1999) we discovered that there are many wonderful resorts in SW FL and they really are/were available."

Searching w/ the best week I have access to, for all of SGC, I see the following resorts. It's just too painful to search id-by-id. Sorry. If there is another region that has one or more of these resorts, I can do that one too.

                            Bel-Air Beach Club (#1153) 2 available units
Bonita Resort and Club (#1680) 1 available unit
Caribbean Beach Club (#0224) 6 available units
Charlotte Bay Resort and Club (#5107) 30 available units
Charter Club Resort of Naples Bay (#0212) 1 available unit
Eagle's Nest Beach Resort (#0731) 1 available unit
Englewood Beach and Yacht Club (#7836) 6 available units
Estero Island Beach Club (#3033) 31 available units
Fishermen's Village Resort Club (#4851) 34 available units
Island Towers (#0173) 24 available units
Kahlua Beach Club (#1873) 12 available units
Lahaina Inn Resort (#0459) 11 available units
Marco Resort and Club (#1861) 62 available units
Marina Village at Snug Harbor (#3024) 6 available units
Royal Beach Club (#0604) 1 available unit
Sandcastle Beach Club (#2198) 8 available units
Sandrift Resort (#5143) 5 available units
Sunrise Bay Resort and Club (#5146) 22 available units
The Charter Club of Marco Beach (#0613) 1 available unit
Tropical Sands Resort (#0721) 23 available units
White Sands Resort Club (#0612) 4 available units

I don't have time to go into my reasons why, but I suspect it will take almost a full year for us to really understand "post 5/30" RCI.

Two of those, Eagles Nest 0731 and Charter Club of MB 0613, are on the list, each with just 1 unit available.

If it is not too much trouble, could you see for what dates?

It is important, to me for now and for possibly others.
