You need a top-shelf trader (sees Manhattan Club) to see both of these. Going down one step (no MC, but does see all DVC 2BRs) sees Eagle's Next but not Charter Club. Going down two steps (some but not all DVC 2BRs) sees neither.

On the other hand, the one-step-down week also sees a few resorts that the "better" trader does not: 3039, 3189, and 2644. None are on your list. Maybe a VEP filter?

        Thanks.

        That's too bad.

Not the quantity of pre-5/30 and definitely not the same trading power.

& with trading power all you are seeing is the least desireable timeframe, and not much then.

An HGVC resort manager has told me their owners are still depositing with RCI. Wonder where all the others are?

Presumably, unless they are being rented instantaneously, they'd be available for rental somewhere. You just have to find the outlet.

            google hasn't found it . . . and I've been looking since 2004.

Well, then either they are renting instantaneously, or that's not where they are. After all, to rent for Big Money, you want a big pool of clients. Hiding it from google seems to be contrary to that idea.

Could they be going to ongoing searches? It would be interesting to know statistics on how many searches were placed in those areas, and for those resorts, and how that search traffic has changed over time.

Edited: another interesting observation: these tend to show up within 14 days. Ongoing searches expire in...wait for it...14 days prior to check in.

              Hmm.

Inside Guy once said it is nice to have a secret society whereby those involved gained advantage. I thought he was talking about our Internet timeshare forums, but maybe he was talking about RCI.

What is or is not being deposited, what is or is not matching to ongoing searches, what has or has not changed over time obviously is propietary and will never be shared with the rabble.

Why would HGVC tell me their SW FL owners are still depositing with RCI if they are not? Why is it that RCI uses Exchange Confirmations for reservations that are not exchanges? (If someone knows that to not be true, speak up.)

The rabble does know what was available before 5/30 that suddenly disappeared. Concerning that, why would the plaintiffs' attorney in the classaction tell me RCI admitted that in Court, blaming it on a computer glitch, if they did not?

Actually, no, they don't. Ongoing searches will match up until 3 days to check-in. You would be amazed at what phenomonal things matched up for a friend of mine a year and 3/4 ago for Easter week in SW FL. Of course that was then and this is now but I would put in an on-going before you can't. ( I know that advice is falling on deaf ears. )

When I started an ongoing last week, John The Friendly Guide (who screwed up the search by selecting the wrong subarea) said ongoing searches are not supposed to match anything inside 14 days out. I had asked because I had thought you could designate to have an ongoing search continue after the 14-day out time and wanted to set it up to continue. He said you can't.

Then he said he has seen some continue anyway and make matches inside 14 days.

So, in this case the official RCI answer is you can't and it won't, but you can and it will, maybe.

You can't INITIATE an on-going search within 14 days. An on-going search will continue to match until 3 days out. Eagle's Nest upper floor corner unit. I was in it, so it's not BS. I never saw that unit on line and I was watching very closely.

Not what John the Friendly Guide said. Not arguing or disagreeing, just stating what he said.

I will gladly take Eagles nest on an ongoing search match inside 14 Days . . . but not 3 days out cuz I will have to take something, or decide something by about 8 days out. We do not want to leave for FL without having the second week decided before we go.

Stuff for 12/19 appeared today, exactly 14 days out.

I had hoped it would be a few days more than that, but . . .

Anyone seeing anything near the 600 we were seeing pre-5/30 . . . for Southern Gulf Coast?
