    Wow!!!

As my friends and notfriends know, nothing has been easy for me the last few years, perhaps to compensate for the many years that things pretty much went my way, fairly easily.

This thread prompted me to attempt to reconcile our RCI Elite Rewards, and Member Dollars. Well, that didn't go so well.

The first problem is that the earning and redemption of points is under the auspices of Bank of America (originally MBNA, or the third party Tri-whatever). However, once redeemed Member Dollars are under the auspices of RCI. RCI subscriber balances cannot be viewed online.

So, if you wanna reconcile Points earned, redemptions, and RCI transactions, you're screwed. Well, unless you rely on the word of a Guide, in which case you are still screwed.

    Here's where we're at.

11/21/09 I redeemed 5000 Points for $50 Member Dollars. 11/25/09 I used $75 in Member Dollars to start the Ongoing Search. We had that balance prior to the 11/21 redemption, so I just figured that had not posted yet.

Today I checked our Elite Rewards account and the 11/21 redemption is not there. I cannot check to see if that $50 in Member Dollars is in our RCI account, but a Guide (Hola! Como Esta? . . . Gracias. Adios!) did confirm that part of our 11/25 transaction to start the Ongoing Search was $75 in Member Dollars.

For the original purpose of this thread, she also confirmed that the combination of Member Dollars, coupon and new money totalled $164, even though I had to do it through a Guide.

Anyway, today I redeemed another 7500 points for $75 Member Dollars. It did post in real time, and I printed it, in case it disappears again.

Another scary thing is that our Lifetime Rewards at Elite Rewards is 171,210.
