  • Trading Power ?

Does anyone have two different deposits that have exactly the same trading power?

    Some thoughts concerning trading power.

***If you have been doing business with someone for many years, and suddenly, without notice or explanation, that businesses changes, and does not allow you the same things as over the many years, through no fault or action on your part, there is likely to be discontent.

***If the business, soley, determines what you can get for what you've got, and does so in a secretive, proprietary manner, and there is no disclosure, no explanation of how they determine the value, or lack of value, in what you have, there is likely to be discontent.

***If the business has a history of being distrustful, or, at the very least, unfaithful, there is likely to be suspicion.

    Seems simple, and predicatable.

Are you asking if two deposits from different resorts have the same trading power?

My husband paid the MF for the life of a TS contract so we had 40 units we could deposit at once. He is concerned that the resort could possibly be sold before we could use all the units. We deposited 10 units in 2008. Then another 10 in 2009. The deposits in 2009 were 1 week 50, 7 week 51, and 4 week 52 for 2011. All the 2009 deposits were made in September 2009 so it was at least 15 months in advance of check in. I was amazed at the number of trades available compared to other TS I considered more desirable.

Does anyone who how much importance is placed on how early the deposit is made? RCI recently told me to deposit at least 12 months in advance to have the maximum options and that it would go done for every month closer to check in.

12 months out to maximize trading power has always been the rule.

I mean stuff deposited since the changes made 5/30/09.

Does anyone have two deposits with exactly the same trading power?

Frinstance, I have deposited Weeks 10 & 11, 2010, at the same resort. Same size unit.

Oops, wrong, I used one of them for our second week this month.

Or, does anyone have two virtually identical deposits, deposited at the same time, that have different trading power.
