If my Annoying Search has found a match and I search online with the All Deposits option, will it tell me about the match???
Or do I have to actually open the search to see that?

If a match has been found doesn't it move from Ongoing Searches to either Resorts on Hold or Confirmed, under Vacation Plans?
Yes, it moves to Resorts on Hold and then to Confirmed. So the week that you were using for the Ongoing Search isn't there to search against, which tips you off that there's a match on hold for you.
JLB, if you mean will you see that same match searching with a DIFFERENT week--no, you shouldn't see that match week while it's on hold or confirmed.

Tips you off if you notice.
but I am assuming the answer to my orignal question is No, it will not tell me a match has been made if I do a manual search for the same thing.
I would have to open Vacation Plans, which is sorta what I thought.
Don'tcha think it should be the way I suggest, that a manual search for the same thing should prompt a notice that a match has been made, to prevent someone from inadvertently confirming a second one?
In a perfect world . . .

You are in RCI Website Fantasyland. Their website STINKS. I would be happy if it merely functioned correctly.
Huh? I can never smell it. What's it stink like?

Another way I could have asked what I asked is . . . Is there a safeguard to prevent someone from confirming in a manual search the same thing an Annoying Search may have already confirmed, and they hadn't noticed?
Not exactly the same, but something for the same week.

I'm assuming you only have one ongoing search for a particular location. If that is matched, you no longer have that unit to search with. So, you'd need to start another search to manually match. Hopefully before you did that you would have checked Vacation Plans and seen that your ongoing match had already matched your request.
If you have an ongoing search for a specific list of resorts, a match is automatically confirmed. This removes the week from your "All Deposits" list. That would, hopefully, tip you off.
If you have an ongoing search for an area, a match is placed on hold, and must be subsequently confirmed or it will be thrown back. In this case, your week remains on the "All Deposits" list, with a notation in red like "Used to Hold a Vacation." That's a little less obvious, but you should notice it.
Right, if it's still on hold it says this, with a link to the held vacation:
Deposit Used to Hold a Vacation
[View Held Vacation]
ETA: and when you mouse over the link, it shows you location and start date, so you don't have to even click the link or change screens to see what you have. Actually it's not a link, it's just a mouse-over.
At least this is what happens when you put something on hold manually.

Again, if a person is doing a manual search using the All Deposit method, and is not paying close attention, say because they are also driving, texting, eating a burger, shaving or applying makeup (or both ), reading the newspaper, and flipping off the driver behind them, would it be possible to confirm something for the same week that the Annoying Search has already found . . . or is there a safeguard to prevent that?

I guess I'm not understanding what you think you're going to be able to do. I'm also not sure what the All Deposit that you're talking about is.
Maybe if someone was [STRIKE]stupid[/STRIKE] unaware enough to try to do a trade with another week when they already have an ongoing search, it might be possible to get another confirmed week.

If a person searches manually with the All Deposits option, as shown below, will the system prevent/warn/notify or in any way stop the person from confirming something for the same week that the Annoying Search has already confirmed?
(PS: yes, I can see the notation on the second deposit, that that is the one tied to the annoying search)
(PPSS: If you have not searched manually with the All Deposits option, it is exactly what the name implies; it shows you everything all your deposits can see. If you wanted to confirm something seen on an All Deposits search, it asks you to select the week you want to use.)
(PPPSSS: As you can tell by the numbers, there are weeks that lesser traders can see that better traders cannot.)

No, it won't. We've listed all the ways RCI has in place for warning you that a week is on hold. Stop being snippy with us because you don't like the way RCI's website works.
