What are the rules for getting paid for an RCI Guest Certificate ?
If I reserve someone a resort through RCI, can I get paid for it ?
Does he/she really have to be my friend ? Can they be a friend of a friend ?
Does RCI perform checks on this ?

Are you asking if you can rent an RCI trade?

The answer is NO, they have teeth and the do check and have canceled memberships and existing confirmations without giving refunds, leaving you on the hook to who ever paid you for a rental.

The contract you agreed to when you joined RCI states that there will be no commercial use of any RCI exchanges, and rental is considered a commercial use.

Now, does it happen, yes, is it worth the risk, not to me.

My recollection from Madge's posts OY was that you can get reimbursed for the exchange fee and the guest certificate fee, but not a penny more. As Greg wrote, RCI has cancelled exchanges and frozen/dropped accounts in the past for violating this rule.

It's your account, so it would perhaps be best to err on the side of caution.
