$199 EV sale!!

After the last "sale that RCI advertised, I figured this one would be a big flop. But there are actually some great deals out there. This is not just a all-inclusive come on. If you are looking for an inexpensive get away in the fall - through mid December - it's worth taking a look.

and of course I have already confirmed my week in the DR using a deposit that expires in March 2011 and the $179 exchange fee and see I could have gotten the same size unit, same week for $199. Gotta love RCI.

wondering if it would be worth it grab the EV for $199, buy the insurance for $69 on the exchange and cancel then the confirmation?

I got an error message when i tried to confirm, and now can't see the $199 weeks anymore.

If you think you will use your exchange before March 2011, it would be worth it. I did the same thing last winter and canceled a trip to CA when a trade to Portugal came in that I wanted. It was worth the $69 to me and I kept my week with its full power. But you can only buy the insurance within 30 days of making the exchange.
