Is this a new RCI feature?

For the first time, I got an email this morning for a match to my ongoing search. I have never received an email before. Is this new? - regardless, I like it!! I had a match yesterday that I released because the dates were not right, but I did not get an email notification. Today, for another match (also wrong dates ) I did get an email. At least this way, I can keep the ball moving quickly.

The other thing that was interesting was the email said I had until July 31 (3 days basically) to hold the unit. I don't know if that is a longer grace period or not, since before I had to proactive to notice there was a match, or wait for a robocall from RCI.

Really? How interesting.

I have gotten messages for just about everything else... when I deposit, when I initiate a search, when I change it, when I manually put a week on hold or release one, etc. But I have never received one that says "Ongoing Search - Match Found" like I did yesterday and I have had several matches to searches this year. If this is something others have been getting, I wonder what changed in my account that has caused me to start getting this message. I hope it continues.

I also got this message on Monday and they were holding the unit for 3 days.

Same here, with a recent match. I too was surprised that it gave me a little more time but it makes sense. Even if they send an email promptly, there's no certainty over how long until the email is actually received and read - rather like leaving a voicemail.

Received new message

Been with RCI for over 20 years and received a first last night. It is a message talking about our ongoing search and how they will keep us informed by sending another one in 7 days if nothing is found.
