    So RCI seems to have fixed the problem that they had yesterday with inventory disappearing but now I am having a problem with putting a unit on hold. I go all the way through, I even have a confirmation email. But when I look at my account the unit is not on hold and when I try to put it back on hold I get this ridiculous notice "We cannot complete your renewal transaction - You were not charged for your last renewal attempt. Please call the Call Center to continue".

    I also tried entering an ongoing search today but it does not stick either, even though I go all the way through with no problems. I don't know if it is because I have a credit on my account and RCI is not charging me. But it is not giving me the option to give them money either. Soooo frustrating.

    I put a unit on hold a while back wth a check-in date of 30July. I've tried to release it at least a dozen times. I've even called. RCI IT says it's not in the account and long gone to someone else.

    I saw something for end of August I wanted that I could drive to this morning and it seemed to go through. Check Holds and there is that crazy 30July unit.

    I guess I'll see if everybody is up for the substitue and then call them again to make sure I got what I think I got.

        It's often the case that the web site's list of what you have on hold/confirmed is a little behind what the "real" database at RCI says. I'm not sure if that's what's going on today, but it could be. Try putting something on hold, and then calling to check to see if it is really there.

          A little behind I could deal with. Over two weeks behind is absurd.

          To be honest, there was a window where this was gone. I think whatever happened yesterday had them back out of something last night. It is back again today.

            I called RCI and the unit is on hold - but I still cannot see it online. I put is on hold at 9:30am - 6 hours ago. That is more than "a little behind" but I think you are just trying to be kind to RCI.

              Not really. As long as I can confirm the unit I put on hold is really on hold, that's more than half the battle. The web site stinks, but that's about as surprising as the sun setting in the West.

              Lawren: they didn't undo everything. I confirmed an exchange in the last week or two, and it is still there, as is an ongoing search I started last week.

                At 6:30pm I got an acknowledgment that my search had been set up. And now my unit on hold is also showing up. That took about 9 hours!

                    Can I just say I HATE RCI website? It is always stuck or down for maintenance. I have given up doing a search online.
