Decreased visibility of weeks inventory through points?

Twice in the past week I've been playing around and have done a search on the weeks side with my middling traders (two white weeks, both of which see about 5300 for July 2011), and have fouind inventory for where we might want to go next spring.

As I always do, I popped over to RCI points to see what I could snag the week for there. In both cases, a Points search of Weeks inventory got 0 matches. I'm not talking specific searches at those resorts; I'm talking searches of entire regions of the US where there were dozens of matches through my Weeks account.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? I noticed back in Spring that there were some resorts that should have been showing up in Points searches of Weeks inventory, but weren't (most notably, Hilton Waikaloa Village). When I called RCI then, they said it should indeed have showed up, and would have made a reservation for me if I'd wanted it.

So, is this just a quirk with my account, or are others seeing decreased or non-existent matches to Points searches of Weeks inventory?

Since it is inherently unfair to Weeks members to give Points members access to Weeks inventory, and at bargain basement generic numbers, when there is no reciprocal access of Weeks to Points inventory, I hope this absence of Weeks inventory for Points members continues and expands until there is either total reciprocity or a firewall between the two systems.

It's a problem with the website. Keep doing your search over and over until something appears. If you continue to get nothing, add an area that you know will have some availability as a second search option, like vegas or orlando and see if the area you really wanted is in among the other choices.

It's a problem with the website. Keep doing your search over and over until something appears. If you continue to get nothing, add an area that you know will have some availability as a second search option, like vegas or orlando and see if the area you really wanted is in among the other choices.

Yes, it's a glitch. It's acting a bit like II right now when you know that there is inventory but it doesn't show up. Either keep refreshing or go "find" again. Even if you pick places like Orlando, you may still get the "no inventory" so you know that's something not acting right.

I have not searched this week but last week I was seeing some unusual results Such as sometimes a 4 week search would show nothing and a 2 week search would show units.

Yes, it is just like II!

I've been noticing this for a couple of weeks now, too.

I click on something 4 or 5 times before I believe there is no inventory.

So if you keep searching again in II do you get more? I never knew about that happening with II, I just figured they kept all the good stuff hidden.

Very glitchy. Sometimes when I search both Southeast and Southwest FL together, I get nothing, but if I search just Southeast then I get a few pages of stuff and the same with Southwest, FL. Not sure why that happens but I no longer trust it just doing the search button once. As others say, you have to hit it a few times. Frustrating, I know.

Not with II. I usually have to log out and log back in. Sometimes it works if I refresh but most of the time it's log out.
