RCI Changes Thread???

I can't seem to find it.

Anywho, I had asked if one of the changes is going to be that you can combine deposits to get exchanges that no one deposit can get.

The answer is yes. By year's end, they say.

And while RCI claims that they will not monkey with trading power, we know from experience that they always lie about that. Every change that members notice, RCI claims did not happen. So, if you do not beleive they will do it this time, I have a certain bridge I own in Brooklyn that I would like to make you a deal on.

I probably asked for/suggested it, 15 years ago. We would have gladly given two deposits to get a one-week exchange many times.

It makes sense for sooooo many reasons, to help level the playing field.

But, I understand the distrust, which comes from experience.

From what I am hearing, they will be selling extra ''points lite'' if you don't have enough, although the source was not sure if this would kick in when they rolled it out or at a later point. I suspect this will be the main avenue of the ''trades up'' in the new regime. Two m/f's for one trade plus an exchange fee just doesn't make financial sense in many cases.

Due to these trades up, however, I suspect that those with better weeks will find it harder to do a trade for a comparable week in RCI, and that should run many of those weeks over to SFX. That's fine with me, as that is where I am now trading one of my summer UK weeks that RCI would have had a shot at had they not imposed a points type regime on us.
