Weeks Enhancements

There's been plenty of time for mistakes to be corrected, but . . .

In the really, really, old dark ages, when all we had for disclosure was to do trading power tests and compare with others, we had two back-to-back Spring Break weeks that did very well. One was always first on those tests, and always equal to the best traders in individual comparison. The other always was just a few less.

Now the one that was always best is 15 and the one that was always slightly less, but great anyway, is a 21.

To put it in more understandable terms, that would be like saying a unit in Orlando is 15 for Week 28 and 21 for Week 29.

No logic at all.

RCI Weeks to Points

Anyone have any thoughts on converting a VRI RCI Weeks interval to RCI Points? Has anyone ever done it? If so, what was the cost and your experience.

There has been sufficient time to assess Weeks Points.

We can bickerwhinebrag all we want, but the fact is that prior to the enhancement there were many who were disenchanted with RCI's raiding the exchange pool, nickel and diming, and a myriad of owner/subscriber-unfriendly practices. Add to that a general disenchantment with timesharing, escalating fees, the lack of a legitimate resale program, the threatening tactics employed by timeshare governing bodies, the easy availability of comparable accomodations for less, and tough economic times.

In other words, many timeshare owners/RCI subscribers were already teetering.

Regardless of how the actual figures work out (50% by the highly biased and inaccurate poll here), Weeks Points is the last straw for some.

For those who remain, there will be even less the choose from, and even more less from coveted areas in prime time.
