In short, if you have not already zeroed out your deposits with RCI, as I did when the spectre of Points Lite first appeared, your opportunity to do so is now very limited. Of course, it has been a long time since I have been keeping more than one deposit at RCI at a time, so I only had one exchange to grab.

Given some other common aspects of major RCI changes, it is probably wise to print off you present RCI exchanges, in case they disappear.

To track whether RCI makes major changes in trading power, it is also wise to print off what you can get now as exchanges in the major areas that matter to you, so you can document any changes in trading power that do occur. It is like a broken record with RCI that they claim no changes in trading power occur but we can all see on the ground that they, in fact, do. RCI's track record for honesty in that area is not very good.

We went to an "update" meeting at the Buganvilias today. Yesterday, folks from RCI were telling them about the new program and how they would be assigning trade value to deposits. I called it "mini points" and the guys kept saying no! But in my opinion, points lite or mini points would be the best description.

All I know is that they have been saying for the last few years that weeks were going to go away... I didn't beleive it at the time thought it was a marketing scam.. but now its seems they are moving closer to it???

No more 3 bedrooms for studio deposit

So I guess now you won't get left over inventory anymore. Where you could get a 3 bedroom for a studio deposit at last minute. Did they say anything about the value of timeshare at the less than 30 day period.

While some rumblings are that there will still be something like a 45 day window, we will have to see how it works. RCI has a bad track record of screwing things up.
