I am hoping I can find time to play with the system when it comes back up. I'm booked solid through out the weekend but we'll see. I have trouble resisting temptation like this.

If I had been paying attention I would have taken one last snapshot of what I was seeing. Oh well.

Everything in it was available with one deposits, of course. Any bets on if there will be stuff we useta get with one deposit that will now cost more?

I wonder how long the shakedown cruise, the break-in period after enhancement and before the system works, will be this time.

After the last major one, 5/30/09, they kept telling me to wait un til things settled down and they would look for what was missing.

The answer given eventually was, "It's all there," even though many of us documented otherwise, bigtime otherwise. My key number dropped from 580-630 to around 230, and 130 since.

How Does the Deposit Calculator Work?

The online Deposit Calculator is a simple way to determine the trading
power of your deposit. Just follow the following steps to get started:

Log-in to your account on RCI.com

Go to the "Manage Your Deposits" screen
and click on the Deposit Calculator link

Enter the start date and unit configuration
of your vacation week and click "Continue"

The Deposit Calculator calculates the Deposit Trading Power of your
Deposit and shows you what it will be if you Deposit that same day.
It also shows you what your Deposit Trading Power will be if you
Deposit at a later date, through the adjustment schedule.

Deposit 2 years to 9 months in advance of your week’s start date to get
100% of your available Deposit Trading Power to use when exchanging.

After that, your Deposit’s trading power will begin to decrease.

Question About Combining Weeks

Choose two or more deposits to get a combined deposit with higher
deposit trading power. When you combined deposits into one you

I had 4 weeks to combine. 2 weeks of the four, had a end date in 2013. I combined the 2 weeks with a end date of 2011. I now have an end date of 11/2012 for the combined credits. So now I have 1 weeks with an end date of April 2013 and another week with an end date of June 2013. So I can put a ongoing search with 3 weeks.

In July, I will be able to spacebank as many as six 2012 Beach Club weeks and two, 2013 Fox Hills weeks.

My question is this, can I add weeks to the combine credits and will RCI reset the 2 weeks combine end date to 2 more years at the time I combine more weeks with it?

The answer is supposed to be yes. But I don't think anyone's had a chance to really do that yet ... combine a newly deposited week with an already combined desposit.

Now that I have had a chance to look at the RCI site, it may not be too bad. The 2 deposits that I currently have with RCI pull just about the same resorts that they did before. At least I could combine the hotel unit and 1 bedroom deposits and get a nicer place. I could not do that before.

Hi Bezerk - we are great. Just left PV after a month of vacation! We spent 2 weeks at the Mondavi as the first guests there and then a week at the Buganvilas and another week at the MP Marina. I thought about you when we passed the hospital one day. I sure hope your are getting better.

In spite of RCI's claim to the contrary, they adjusted trading power considerably with their new regime. Some got whacked severely. Some gained. Some stayed the same. But looking at areas of particularly high demand and particularly low supply, supply and demand seem to have relatively little to do with the numbers they assign.

YES you can combine trading power credits at a later date
Simply add another unit, pay the $99 fee, get 2 more years

How to Combine Massanutten Deposits

Note:

If you decide to combine your Massanutten
Weeks eff 11/15 now Trading Power Credits.

Remember to keep those units in a special Massanutten TP
pool, so that you will still get your reduced exchange fees.

Do not combine them with other timeshare resorts you own
or you will have to pay the full RCI exchange fee $179/$194.
