This should be done in a database format, as it would be a good reference. Dates reported should be part of the database, as these numbers will sometimes change. RCI has a grid system of valuations, at least on deposits, and we should also note the grid ranges, which often don't make any sense whatsoever, like valuing every week from 11 to 21 inclusive on the OBX exactly the same.

You do not have to own a particular resort to use the deposit value calculator (I do not believe Carolinian owns every week 11-21) you can look up any resort value you would like.
It does not appear that they are changing the deposit numbers that much. Changes seem to be much more in the number of points lite they want for an exchange. It would be nice to have a chart of what they are and where the cut off points are on their grids without having to sit down everytime with their calculator. I have worked through several resorts that I was interested in and it takes a while. If we had this all compiled in one place, it would give us a leg up on other sites.
12 is about a shoulder week deposit at 6 month or earlier. It means if you deposit a blue week, even if you put as on-going search, you will not get 12 until 30 days for Williamsburg.
Once deposit, the value is not changed. The exchange pool value does change from the time it get deposit to the travel day. But each area/resort will have its own value change behavior.
RE: The higher values in Marti's post cover a holiday weekend (MLK),
which appears to raise values across the board regardless of location.
I can understand additional TPV`s due to Holidays

Do you find a lot of people exchanging into Williamsburg in January? The numbers have been devalued because they are now within ~30days. The weeks after are still 12. Williamsburg in January is so Last Call.

If it makes you feel any better as an owner of week 6 Greensprings. Those were not last call but Extra Vacations. Maybe because of an agreement with Diamond. RCI really ditched their sister company Wyndham!

There are many wonderful places in the world, but one of my favourite places is on the back of my horse.

Lawren is making a good point.....under 30 days are getting bigger discounts in less desirable areas - while HOT areas seem not to be getting discounted.
So RCI is picking which areas to discount instead of doing it across the board.
Yes, I would be very annoyed if I spent 12 tpu 5 weeks before check in and then 4 weeks before check in it drops so drastically to 4 tpus. But such is the nature of last minute travel.

I get really annoyed when I buy airline tickets and the next week the price drops 50% too. But at least with RCI, you can buy the insurance for $69-within 30 days, cancel and rebook the week using the $179 credit and pocket the 8 TP, if it's worth it to you. It costs at least $150 per ticket to do the same thing with the airline.

They seemed to have completely changed the nature of the 45 day window, and that will lead to a bail out problem for HOA's for those owners who bought those lesser weeks to trade the last minute route. RCI set them up for that by promoting the 45 day window for years in materials they supplied to developers. Now that the developers are gone and no sales staff around, they are sandbagging the HOA's. HOA's should look at totally dumping RCI and moving totally to II.
