Wow! Twice as many as 2009.

But during this period a lot of resorts switched to points. Many members who would have traded in weeks in 1999 were trading in points by 2009.

Well paging through the guide in your link, I would say page 61. Not as many as week but almost an additional 3/4 million.

Maybe some people who are tired of getting poor exchanges started actually using their weeks. I know many people who own their week and never exchange it. Even in Orlando at Westgate.

Maybe just maybe people actually like what they bought and are using it.
I do. $450 MF's for a 2 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath on the sand in mid summer when the water is fine. Free wi-fi, flat screen TV's, free beach chairs, free parking and BBQ's and fishing all night under the moonlight. Oh life is good and has been for the 10 years that I've owned this puppy.

It doesn't really matter what other people are doing with their timeshare.
At least it doesn't matter to me. Who knows? Who cares?

. . . Plus, I was too logical, not figuring the Points Disclosure would be under Weeks and versa vice.

I hadn't even seen either of them until today.

Based on the found/corrected information, the number of exchanges declined from 2.7 million in 1999 to 2,083,288 in 2009.

Which in today's dollars would be more than $11,000,000.

So, yes, indeed, if the important thing is how much money they make, they had to make it up somehow.
