I've been wondering about something and you all can help me get a better idea of the answer.

I know I personally was granted more TPUs for a week deposited with RCI than it takes to exchange into that exact week. I don't think I am alone.

I have also fiddled around with the deposit calculator and come across several instances where a depositor would receive less, sometimes far less, than it would take to exchange into that same week.

This is just an exercise and because it is on one of our "open to anyone forums" we will conduct this with anonymity for those answering.

We all know Big Brother watches...maybe they would like to answer WHY trading power is not like for like in every instance.

I can't yet tell---there isn't anything for my specific weeks in the spacebank. But, comparing to similar units at similar times in the same general area, it looks like I'm pretty close to par. I don't know if that's enough to vote "exact" or not.

Because I can no longer could get exchanges that I could get before the new system I needed to spacebank 2 weeks to combine weeks to make an exchange. Because the weeks were March and April weeks in Florida they reduced the maximum trading power from 27 to 24 Credits. The resort is a smaller resort so I could tell what value RCI placed on them in order to exchange into my weeks. RCI charged 28 credits for the same weeks that they gave me 24 credits.

It has now, as it always has, made $$$ for RCI.

But, then, why shouldn't it, since it was recently posted as an EX OP, a desireable Vacation Time, as it always has been.

I'm dense, you know by now, but I don't know cuz someone took Mugwump, and Slimey Slough.

How would I know what they want if it is not available?

You stated it was posted as a exchange opportunity. It must have had the "Price Tag" around it's toe or on the hat brim.

It was an II Ex Op (so it took one deposit ).

What JLB is saying in his usual manner is that his resort is dual affliated, It never shows in RCI online as it's snapped up immediately as the desirable trade it is. But it shows up at least occassionally online in II (obviously deposited by some other owner) and since it is a II Ex-Op there's no price tag and it's a straight week for week exchange.

I received 4 more TPUs for one of my deposits than it would take to get the exact same thing back. The exact match is online right now.

It looks like I also received 4 more TPUs for the other deposit than what an exchange in would cost me but I can't say for 100% sure as the exact match is not online, but the week before it is. The online week is also in the same red zone, if not really a slightly more desirable week..

Where is the gloat emoticon??
