For years, the term ''sold out resort'' has had a sinister double meaning with RCI Points numbers, and now that the numbers for Points Lite are public it is the same there.
But HOA's need to monitor the points lite numbers to catch RCI in its patterns of underpointing. When a resort in general or the high season at a resort consistently requires more points lite to trade in than members get for depositing it at the same point in time, then RCI is cheating its members on trading power, and the HOA needs to 1) scream like a banshee to RCI demanding fairness, 2) open negotiations with II and dual affiliate, 3) once they get dual affiliated, let its members know in detail how RCI is hosing them.
Hopefully, this will force RCI to reform its malpractices, and if not it will help migrate members to a rival exchange company.
