Anyone have any other feedback on using UVC? Anyone make any recent trades with RCI and was everything promised in terms of TPU's upheld for trading? Just trying to get some more examples of any others that have had success thus far using UVC. It seems they are more knowledgable now so hopefully service has improved. Just curious. Thx!

            UVC exchange

I have recently requested to deposit my weeks into RCI. Instruction given by UVC was to call RCI and find out what i can trade for. I did call RCI and found out that my weeks got no trading power and they are not like a regular deposit weeks, they are just something they called ' Bonus Week ', therefore I can't search for what vacation property online, only option to use those ' bonus week ' is to call RCI and tell them what is the state or country you want to visit and they will tell you what they have. Example:- I told them I am going to Singapore and they said I can't have anything in Singapore the only option is a cheap cheap hotel ( $35 /night )in northern Malaysia which is 300 miles+ away. When i looked into RCI resort search, you can easily find 30 places near Singapore only that us UVC owners have no access to. So 'bonus week' is what you get from UVC and they are near worthless. If you have to pay UVC a $250 fees and then RCI $199 fees to get some cheap hotel, you better off book your own hotel online and save some bucks. I am one of the unfortunate person that bought UVC and really hope that no one else falls into the sweet talk they gave you about exchanging in RCI.

Did you deposit your bonus week from RCI? UVC should not have charged you the $250 for the deposit and all you have to pay is $199 to exchange with RCI. Only problem is very limited inventory since its the bonus week. You should call back UVC and ask them to deposit one of your weeks instead (not your bonus week). You will have to pay $250 but after two days, you will see the week(s) in your RCI account and you can look for inventory within RCI based upon your agreement on trading power. I just made my first deposit and it went very smooth. I think in your case, you deposited your bonus week and not your regular week which actually gives you TPU's and you do not have to talk to a RCI rep tp make a reservation. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, let me know.

Hi, Mickeymouse. I was able to trade into a resort in Kauai this past August. My TPU is 15, not enough to trade into Hawaii, but I asked UVC to do the matching deposit to up my power to 30 which was enough for a 2 bedroom condo. The only problem with the matching TPU that they deposit for you is, you have to combine the weeks at RCI for a fee ($99 I think). So I wound up paying the $250 to UVC and $199 to RCI for the trade and $99 to RCI to combine the points, so $548 total.

I also just booked my first vacation going back to Dreams, using my membership and was able to get the 25% discount off the best price I could find online. So I'm pretty pleased about that.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the membership after working out a few bugs in the beginning. Do I think it is the cheapest, easiest way to travel? No. We purchased it because we knew it would result in us vacationing more (can't waste that money, now can we?) and we would wind up staying at nicer places. So far it seems to be working out that way.

Do not even think about joining unlimited vacation club. They are selling a product they have no control over. They sell you benefits but they cannot make the resorts abide by the contract. We joined and the very first time we used the membership the resort was fighting with UVC about what the contract. We actually got downgraded! We tried to get our money back and UVC is refusing to refund the money we have paid them even though they can't enforce the contract with the resorts. If you really want to go to one of the AMresorts, just go on CheapCarribean.com. It is actually cheaper because you will also get a discount on your airfare and you won't have wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on a membership that is useless.

                          Unlimited Vacation Club

We appreciate your feedback, as you know there is too much controversy about the vacation club, but please understand that many of our members purchased just what they were looking for and some of them not, and this is not because we have a bad product or something similar but different needs.

If you have any problem or issue right now with your membership please contact me

                          Rodrigo Davila

I removed your email since you posted it already, If you try to spam us again you and your posts will be gone BF

Unlimited Vacation Club - BAD PRODUCT

If you join UVC and have problems, you get the type of answers you see below. They are selling a product that does not exist. This is a fairly new club and they are going to have serious issues when the members try to us the memberships. The resorts don't care that you are members when you stay there and the UVC employees can't make the resorts follow the contracts the members sign. Again, if you want to go to one of their resorts go to cheapcarribean.com. It ends up being less expensive because you get a discount on the airfare too. You also get the discount on transfers, activities, and FREE and GUARANTEED at time of booking upgrades sometimes. You don't even get this as members! You pay 15k plus for a membership and get an upgrade if it is available when you check in and you don't even know what that will be. Our upgrade through our membership was to a room $200 less per night and two categories lower! No kidding. AND the hotel staff tried to play it off as an upgrade as they made fun of us in Spanish thinking we would not know what they were doing. Yes, we speak some Spanish. DON'T JOIN. It is a terrible product that you will not be happy with.
